Khang Ngoc Truong (MArch’24)

The Kanter Tritsch Awards

Khang Ngoc Truong is a first-generation interdisciplinary creative from DeBary, Florida, with a deep interest in the relationship between space and human perception. He explores unexpected spatial conditions at the intersection of architecture and graphic design through sketching, drawing, and fabrication. Truong holds a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida and is pursuing a Master of Architecture at the Weitzman School of Design. 

In addition to developing his skills as a designer at Penn, Truong has worked in various areas related to community and the built environment, collaborating with PennPraxis, the Fresh Air Fund, and Tom Wiscombe Architects. He has also ventured into fashion design, collaborating with Hera Concept and contributing to the Penn Charity Fashion Show, where his team's work was featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Truong has been recognized for his achievements with the E. Lewis Dales Traveling Fellowship, Schenck-Woodman Merit Scholarship, and the 2023 Kanter Tritsch Prize in Energy and Architectural Innovation.
