The 2019 Weitzman School Awards
On Monday, October 21, 2019, the Weitzman School Awards took place at the IAC Building in New York. Besides presenting the awards in architecture and city and regional planning, the event allowed the School to celebrate its new name as in February 2019, the University of Pennsylvania named its Design School in honor of award-wining designer and footwear icon Stuart Weitzman, Wharton Class of 1963, in recognition of both his ongoing philanthropic support of the University and his active engagement in its academic activities. All proceeds from the event supported student scholarships in architecture and city and regional planning.
